Rescued from the streets of southern Italy on 20 Oct 2017 aged about 8 or 9 years old, she was very thin weighing 11Kg.
She was transported to Northern Italy into the care of Chiara Zamberlan 20 Dec where a thorough examination discovered that she had major problems with her kidneys, it was suspected that she probably had Leish and she was eating very little. She was admitted to the clinic where she underwent infusions of various medications to try to help her kidneys. She spent Christmas with Chiara but was readmitted to the clinic 27 Dec. Chiara took her home and continued the intravenous feeding as she was not eating on her own. She died on 19 Jan 2018 in her sleep.
This poor girl had a very brief glimpse of a better life that was taken from her far too soon in spite of her determination to fight and live on.
Rest peacefully Diana-Noelle.
