Meet Suri an elderly gentleman of 11 years who at his age is not too active and looking forward to a happy retirement
He was taken to the vets to be PTS but the vet refused so he was abandoned at a hunters kennel where he had no company or contact. He is currently living in a kennel under the care of Setter Rescue in Spain being sponsored by SUF
He is somewhat reserved and not too active.
Suri is an Orange Belton setter of medium size he gets on with other dogs both dogs and bitches but has not been tested with cats, other animals or children. He is not yet housetrained.
Although Suri is a hunting dog because of his age this is likely to be less pronounced than in a younger dog of this breed. You can read more about a working setters character and behaviour here.
His ideal home would probably be experienced with setters and without children and a moderately active family taken at the dogs pace.
He has been neutered and tested for Mediterranean disease for which his results were negative. He has been vaccinated against rabies and is micro chipped and has a passport. Please read more about Leish here.
Suri is ready to travel adopters are expected to pay an adoption fee and transport costs for their dog, this ranges from £350 – £550 depending on the sex, age and country the dog is travelling from. Please read more here.
Suri is ready to travel and has his passport ready could you offer him a foster home until he can find his forever Home
