Meet Prince a medium sized setter boy of approx. 20 Kg, aged approximately 3 years old currently in foster care in Essex UK looking for his forever home. Prince originally came from Serbia.

He is Liver Belton and white and has not yet been neutered which will be carried out shortly.

He has been tested for all Mediterranean diseases and these are all negative. Please read more about Leish here.

He gets on very well with other dogs of both sexes. He likes to play chase with the other resident setter who is a girl.

He came across a cat in the garden and only showed passing interest he has also met them when out on walks but can easily be distracted

Spent the day with a 3 year old child where he was very well behaved.

Prince walks well on a harness but his recall has not yet been tested. He is housetrained and is learning to play with toys

He loves the company of humans and is very affectionate, loves cuddles and a fuss made of him he is very gentle when taking food and isn’t greedy

He is a little wary of strangers and visitors but over time this will improve

As a hunting dog he is likely to be prey orientated but at the moment shows very little interest in birds in the garden. You can read more about a working setters character and behaviour here.

Adopters are expected to pay an adoption fee and transport costs for their dog, this ranges from £350 – £550 depending on the sex, age and country the dog is travelling from. Please read more here.

Could you offer this lovely boy his forever home.

Prince would benefit from being adopted where there is already a resident dog.
